Auxiliary Reverse Lights Wiring Diagram - Relay & 3-Position Switch (Jeep TJ)

This document is a simple color-coded wiring diagram for adding auxiliary reverse/backup lights to a vehicle using a standard 4-pin relay and a three-position toggle switch (AUTO / OFF / ON). The relay is drawn with its terminals labeled 87, 85, 86, and 30. Terminal 30 receives battery power (labeled BATT HOT) through an inline FUSE. Terminal 87 feeds the two auxiliary lights, which are grounded (labeled GROUND). Terminal 86 (shown with an orange wire) runs to the three-position switch, and terminal 85 completes the relay coil circuit to ground. A signal wire labeled FROM REVERSE LIGHTS (highlighted in red) connects to the switch so that in the AUTO position the auxiliary lights turn on automatically whenever the vehicle's factory reverse lights are energized; the ON position powers the lights manually, and OFF disables them.
