This is one of the last original parts on the truck, and after ~450Kmi (I've swapped the speedo several times), it finally gave out. It had been noisy for the past year, and just after welding the front diff, something happened... It began making a nasty ratcheting/grinding sound whenever I switched between FWD & REV, or even let it go into backlash. Fortunately, I have a spare.
