rosies-but-039.jpg Note the overlap of the old tub floor and the material I left attached from the donor truck. It is slipped under the old tub flooring to make the floor stronger and able to support someone walking on that area. Also, after joining the two pieces get under the truck and seal any gaps that might collect mud and moisture to prevent rust out. I bonded the two pieces with FUSOR 112B, structural epoxy, and blind rivets. After the epoxy set, I used printable silicone caulk to fill in any gaps. I let that set and covered the whole area underneath the tub with rubberized under coat and finally sealed that with flat black Rustoleum spray paint to make the skin of the undercoat a little tougher.
