The transmission wouldn't fully go into place with the floor pan on, so I had to switch jobs for a few, pull up the floor mat and remove the pan. The NP435 is tall, and the shifter goes *through* the opening in the floor pan and the SROD pan didn't have that opening.
After the pan was removed, the transmission sat in nicely.
