Ford F-150
1983 Ford F-150 Specs & Photos
The 1983 Ford F-150 continued with the 300-cubic-inch inline-six and the 302 and 351 Windsor V8s within the seventh-generation body. The headline F-Series news for 1983 was the new 6.9L IDI V8 diesel, built for Ford by International Harvester, but that engine went to the heavier F-250 and F-350 rather than the half-ton F-150. The F-150 4x4 retained its Twin-Traction Beam (Dana 44) front suspension.
The 1983 Ford F-150 is part of the Bullnose F-150 generation (1980–1986). See the full Ford F-150 1980–1986 registry →
