The 1984 Ford F-150 saw its trim structure cut to three levels as the XLS package was dropped. The mechanical package carried over, with the 300 inline-six as the base engine and the 302 and 351 Windsor V8s above it, all still carbureted. The 1984 F-150 kept the seventh-generation Bullnose body and the Twin-Traction Beam front suspension on four-wheel-drive trucks.
