1972 International Scout II Specs & Photos
The 1972 International Scout II marked the first full model year for the new body, and its horsepower ratings moved to SAE net figures along with the rest of the industry. The lineup paired the standard 196 slant four with the optional 304 and 345 V8s, driving through a Dana 20 part-time transfer case in 4x4 form. Early Scout IIs ran a Dana 30 front axle with a Dana 44 in the rear.
