Rather than drive the CV to the JY to look for another bracket, I'll try to weld this one back together, mainly for the practice. If it breaks again, I'll replace it, but I need to learn. I cleaned the fracture & vicinity with stainless wire brushes that have never been used on steel, then used a small BP hammer to re-set the pieces together so the seam is minimized. The vise grips are just there for the initial tacks.
