motordsmtl.jpg Later motors like this one have a tiny snap-ring, but it's generally OK to destroy the snap ring since early motors didn't have one at all.  The plate holds the gears in.

Dump & brush all the delrin debris out, and do NOT fill the case with grease. Only the center shaft needs a light coat.
