Even if I were going to paint the truck myself, I would still remove everything I can off of it. I'd rather 'take off' than 'tape off' when it comes to painting a truck. Removing all this stuff not only results in a better looking end result, it also serves to control how things come off the truck. I don't want any surprise phone calls from the body shop telling me that they broke this or that during the removal process.
