2008 Ford Cobra Jet Mustang FR500CJ Show Placard - Specs & Features

This is a photograph of an auto show display placard for the 2008 Ford Cobra Jet Mustang, titled "The Legend Continues." The sign explains that in 1968 Ford took the NHRA Winternationals by storm with the original Cobra Jet Mustang, of which only 50 factory lightweights were built, and that it won in its first appearance. Forty years later, Ford Racing announced a new NHRA-legal race car, the 2008 Cobra Jet Mustang (FR500CJ, part number M-FR500-CJ), a factory-built, serialized (no VIN) race car sold through any Ford dealer as a Ford Racing part.
