The hinge is a glorified trailer wheel bearing from comp4x4.com. Opens smoothly and is very strong. Since the spindle fits inside the bumper in its own sleeve, you don't actually weld to the spindle at all, saving it from heat stress. The locking pin is an eyebolt, a compression spring, a washer and a nylock nut. The springe forces the eye-bolt downwards into a matching hole in the bumper. It's not going to come out on its own.
