The 2003 Nissan Maxima closed out the fifth generation ahead of the all-new 2004 redesign. The 255-horsepower VQ35DE 3.5-liter V6 returned in GXE, SE, and GLE trims, with the 6-speed manual still offered on the SE. Changes for the year were minimal.
