Ford Bronco
1971 Ford Bronco Photos & Pictures
The 1971 Ford Bronco gained the heavier-duty Dana 44 front axle as a running change, replacing the Dana 30, while keeping the 170-cubic-inch six or 302-cubic-inch V8, the Ford 9-inch rear, and front drum brakes. Because it came in as a running change, some early-build 1971 trucks can still carry the Dana 30. Ford also began offering the Bill Stroppe-built Baja Bronco around this time, a limited package of roughly 650 units that continued into 1975.
