The 1976 Ford Bronco introduced power front disc brakes, replacing the front drums used through 1975, while keeping the 200-cubic-inch six or 302-cubic-inch V8, a Dana 44 front axle, and a Ford 9-inch rear. This was the major running change of the late first generation.
