The 1973 Ford Bronco dropped the half-cab pickup, leaving the U15 wagon as the only body style, and saw the base six grow from 170 to 200 cubic inches alongside the 302-cubic-inch V8. The C4 3-speed automatic transmission and power steering became available, with a Dana 44 front axle, Ford 9-inch rear, and front drum brakes, plus larger bumpers among the early-1970s federal updates.
