The 1971 Jeep CJ5 closed out the Kaiser-engineered driveline: last year for the F-head 134 four, the 225 Dauntless V6, the Dana 27 front axle, and the Spicer 18 transfer case. AMC had bought Kaiser Jeep in February 1970, so 1971 models were assembled under AMC ownership with carryover hardware. Collectors also watch for the 1971 Renegade II, a V6 trim package that followed 1970's Renegade I.
