For 1975 the Jeep CJ5's AMC engines picked up breakerless electronic ignition, and the Levi's package with denim-look vinyl top and seats joined the options. Engine choices stayed 232 six standard with the 258 six and 304 V8 optional, all net-rated. This was the final year for the Dana 44 rear axle and the pre-1976 frame; the next year brought a boxed, reworked chassis and the AMC Model 20 rear.
