Jeep CJ5

1980 Jeep CJ5 Specs & Photos

The 1980 Jeep CJ5 took its base engine from GM, with the Pontiac-built 151 cubic inch Iron Duke four replacing the AMC six as standard and the 258 six moving to the option list. A four-speed manual became standard, and the Dana 300 transfer case brought a 2.62:1 low range in place of the Dana 20's 2.03:1. Axles remained a Dana 30 front and AMC Model 20 rear.
