ARTICLE VIII ~ SAFETY POLICY/STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES A. The Safety Policy: 1. Has been established to ensure safety and fun for everyone at all times while attending a club event; to help guests and members to become oriented with the Club Bylaws, and assist the members with becoming better acquainted with their ' vehicles by understanding the types of things to inspect before and after an event, 2. Will be administered by the Safety committee. 0.) Outline minimum items the safety committee will inspect. 4. Requires the following equipment: (a) A functional CB radio capable of transmitting on channels 4 and 9. (b) A 2.51b. Dry chemical or Halon re extinguisher (fully charged). (0) Basic rst aid kit. (d) Flashlight or DC type drop light. (e) Jack capable of liing vehicle high enough to change each tire. (1) Seat belts for each occupant. (g) Spare tire which holds air and is approximately equal in size to the other tires on the vehicle (h) Tow hooks or (equivalent), front and rear - welded or attached with minimum of grade 5 bolts and nuts (grade 8 is recommended). (i) Two strap with minimum strength rating of 20,000 lbs. (j) Roll bar or hard top. " (k) At least one gallon of water for each person in vehicle. 5. Recommend the following items to be carried on all events. (a) 2 - quarts of engine oil; one quart of both transmission and gear lube (as required) ll
