1951 Ford F-1 Pickup Custom Build Specs - Washtenaw CC Make-A-Wish Truck

This is a photographed car show display placard from Washtenaw Community College describing a custom-built 1951 Ford F-1 pickup. The sign explains that when Justin Lilly was 14, his family contacted the Michigan chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation hoping to rebuild the family's '51 Ford. After a three-year search for a shop, Make-A-Wish partnered with Washtenaw Community College's Custom Cars & Concepts program, which built the truck. The placard lists the build specifications in four sections. Chassis: supercharged 5.4-liter 4V V8 with Kenne Bell supercharger, handmade aluminum gas tank, ididit aluminum steering column, 8.8 rear end with Panhard bar, SSBC 4-wheel disc brakes, 4-link suspension, and adjustable coilover shocks. Interior: faux leather and ostrich upholstery by Carr's Interiors, custom-stitched Sparco race seats, 4-point harnesses, hand-built center console, one-off gauges, CNC gauge cluster, 10" Alpine subwoofers, and 6"x9" Rockford Fosgate speakers. Paint & body: PPG single-stage black, a 4" chop by Gene Winfield, phantom floating grille, handmade spoiler, CNC acrylic taillights, Pro's Pick bed and tonneau, shaved door handles, actuated "trap door" gas door, black oak floor with stainless strips, and suicide doors. Wheels & tires: black Ford GT wheels (18x9 front, 19x11.5 rear) with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires and one-off center caps.
