The 1966 Chevrolet Nova wore completely new sheetmetal on the carryover 110-inch wheelbase, opening the second styling generation of the Chevy II. The Nova SS became its own series, and the engine chart peaked with the L79 327-cubic-inch V8 rated 350 horsepower gross. Lesser choices ran from the 194 six through 283 and milder 327 V8s.
