The 1968 Chevrolet Nova moved to the redesigned X-body, a semi-unibody with a bolt-on front subframe like the Camaro's, on a 111-inch wheelbase. It was the final year the car wore Chevy II badging. The Nova SS became an engine-keyed package built around a 350-cubic-inch V8 rated 295 horsepower gross, and 396-cubic-inch big-blocks rated 350 and 375 horsepower gross joined during the model year.
