Chevrolet Silverado 2500
1986 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Specs & Photos
The 1986 Chevrolet 3/4-ton, filed under Silverado 2500 here, was the C20 or K20 of the long-running Square Body generation, and 1986 was the final year for those C/K designations before Chevrolet renamed the carryover trucks R20 and V20 for 1987. Silverado remained the top trim level above Scottsdale and Custom Deluxe. All gasoline engines were still carbureted, including the 292 inline six and the 350 and 454 V8s, while the 6.2-liter Detroit Diesel V8 introduced in 1982 continued as the fuel-economy tow option.
