Nissan Micra Manual Transmission Shift Component Exploded Diagram MT-6

It presents an exploded parts diagram (figure SMT996) of the manual transaxle shift/select mechanism, with every component labeled: yoke, striking rod, select lever, retaining pins, reverse check spring, cam pin, reverse check cam, guide plate, shifter, shifter shaft, shift rod, shift rod plate, reverse bracket assembly, return springs and plugs, plunger, steel balls, check ball plugs, shift lever, 1st & 2nd shift fork, 3rd & 4th shift fork, 5th shift fork, 5th fork shaft, 5th & reverse bracket, and shifting interlock. Torque specifications are called out in N·m (kg-m, ft-lb): guide plate bolts 6–8 N·m; return spring plug 20–29 N·m; shift check ball plug 9–12 N·m; 5th & reverse check ball plug 16–21 N·m; and a bolt at 2.5–3.9 N·m. Thread sealant application ("to thread of plug/bolt") is indicated for the plugs and one bolt. A reader can learn the assembly relationships of the shift linkage internals and the correct torque values for reassembly during a transmission overhaul.
