Push-Down Shifter Installation

The wells in the outer boot bezel ([url=https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000O0IKWQ]F2TZ7277A[/url]) collect dirt which fills the phillips heads of the screws (55930-S2). To remove the screws, use a dental pick to loosen the dirt and compressed air to blow it out of the wells.

The pivot bolt (not called out) has a 1" hex and a T-55 recess; the detent plate bolts (391219-S2) have the same T-55 recess but 13/16" heads.

The link bar (7B051) simply presses onto the shift lever nipples. Do not pry against the shifter (7210 LOWER) while it is installed on the trans extension.

The wells in the outer boot bezel (F2TZ7277A) collect dirt which fills the phillips heads of the screws (55930-S2). To remove the screws, use a dental pick to loosen the dirt and compressed air to blow it out of the wells.

The pivot bolt (not called out) has a 1" hex and a T-55 recess; the detent plate bolts (391219-S2) have the same T-55 recess but 13/16" heads.

The link bar (7B051) simply presses onto the shift lever nipples. Do not pry against the shifter (7210 LOWER) while it is installed on the trans extension.
