The 1992 Ford Ranger was the final model year of the first generation before the 1993 aerodynamic restyle. The engine range was the 2.3 Lima four-cylinder, the 2.9 Cologne V6, the 3.0 Vulcan V6, and the 4.0 Cologne V6. The 1992 Ranger 4x4 used the Twin-Traction-Beam front suspension on a Dana 35 front axle.
