The 1994 Honda Accord launched the fifth-generation CD chassis and brought VTEC to the US Accord for the first time. The EX used a 2.2-liter VTEC four rated at 145 horsepower, while DX and LX models carried a 130 horsepower non-VTEC version. Dual front airbags became standard on every trim, and sedan, coupe, and wagon bodies were offered.
