The 1999 Honda Accord carried the sixth generation into its second year with no powertrain changes. The DX kept its 135 horsepower 2.3-liter four, LX and EX models used the 150 horsepower VTEC version, and V6 cars continued with the 200 horsepower 3.0-liter. Sedan and coupe bodies remained distinct, sharing no exterior sheetmetal.
