1978 Ford Bronco Tailgate Latch Release Mechanism Exploded Diagram

This document is an exploded parts diagram (copyright FoMoCo / Ford Motor Company) showing the tailgate latch release mechanism assembly for a Ford Bronco tailgate. The illustration depicts the inner tailgate shell with the components of the latch/release linkage laid out in exploded view. Labeled parts include the left and right tailgate latches, the left and right latch rods that connect the latches to the central release mechanism, multiple retaining clips that secure the rods, the central release mechanism itself, an electrical switch, and the tailgate shell.
