The 1968 Ford LTD is easy to spot by its concealed headlamps, hidden behind a full-width grille it shared with the sporting XL. Ford's new 302 cubic inch V8 replaced the 289 as the standard engine, rated 210 horsepower gross, with options running up to the 428. Federally required side marker lights appeared on all 1968 models.
