The 1992 Ford LTD registered here is the Australian DC-series LTD, the long-wheelbase luxury sedan Ford Australia built above the Fairlane on the EB Falcon platform. The DC generation, introduced in 1991, returned V8 power to the line with a Canadian-sourced 5.0 liter Windsor rated 165 kW, about 221 horsepower, offered alongside the overhead-cam inline six with a four-speed automatic. The United States had no 1992 LTD, as the domestic nameplate ended with the 1986 midsize car and the LTD prefix left the Crown Victoria after 1991.
