This is page 8 ("Recreation: Selected Option Descriptions"), revised 2/79, from a Ford light truck dealer/recreation reference covering trailer towing for F-Series pickups and the Bronco. It describes the two available trailer towing packages: the Light-Duty Towing Package (for trailers up to 2000 lbs.) and the Heavy-Duty Towing Package (for trailers over 2000 lbs.), listing every included item such as the Extra/Super Cooling Package, seven-wire 6-terminal color-coded trailer harness, heavy-duty turn signal flasher, 68-amp-hr maintenance-free battery, 60-amp alternator, ammeter and oil pressure gauge, mirrors, "Trailer Special" emblem, heavy-duty shocks/suspension, and an external auxiliary transmission oil cooler for SelectShift automatics with 5.8L (351), 6.6L (400) or 7.5L (460) V-8s. Towing capacities are given: F-100/150 up to 6000 lbs., F-250 up to 8000 lbs. (7000 Crew Cab), F-350 4x2 up to 10,000 lbs. A fifth-wheel trailering section with a Gross Vehicle Weight Guide table shows F-250 (6200 lb GVWR, 6500 lb trailer, 12,500 lb combined) and F-350 (8900 lb GVWR, 10,000 lb trailer, 16,400 lb combined).
