The 1973 Chevrolet K5 Blazer opened the second generation, moving to GM's square-body Rounded Line trucks on a 106.5 inch wheelbase while keeping the fully removable fiberglass top. Automatic-equipped 4WD trucks received the new full-time NP203 transfer case, manual trucks kept the part-time gear-driven NP205, and the front axle remained a Dana 44. Engine offerings started with the 250 inline six and topped out with the 350 V8.
