The 1986 Chevrolet K5 Blazer was the last with a carbureted engine lineup; throttle-body fuel injection arrived on the 350 for 1987. It was also the final year the full-size Blazer carried the K5 chassis code, which changed to V10 in 1987 when the new GMT400 pickups took over the K designation. Drivetrain hardware, from the NP208 transfer case to the 10-bolt front axle, carried over from the earlier 80s trucks.
