The 1988 Chevrolet Blazer, still known to owners as the K5 though GM recoded the 4WD model V10 in 1987, ran the 5.7 liter 350 V8 with throttle-body injection as its standard engine. The 6.2 liter diesel remained optional. While Chevrolet's pickups moved to the new GMT400 body for 1988, the full-size Blazer kept the square-body shell it had used since 1973.
