The 1983 Honda Civic closed out the second generation in the US as a hatchback, four-door sedan, and wagon powered by 1.3 and 1.5 liter CVCC fours. New for 1983 was the Civic S, which paired the 1.5 with firmer suspension tuning as the sportiest trim in the line. The all-new third-generation car, and with it the first CRX, followed for 1984.
