The 1995 Honda Civic closed out the fifth-generation EG chassis. The Si hatchback kept the 125 hp D16Z6 SOHC VTEC to the end, while DOHC VTEC in the US Civic family remained exclusive to the del Sol VTEC's 160 hp B16A3. The sixth-generation EK replaced the range for 1996.
