The 1999 Honda Civic received a mid-cycle facelift and returned the Si to the US lineup as the EM1 coupe. Its 1.6 liter B16A2 DOHC VTEC made 160 hp at 7,600 rpm through a mandatory 5-speed manual, the only twin-cam engine offered in a US sixth-generation Civic.
