Ford Bronco Tailgate Power Window Relay Wiring Diagram - Alternate Circuit

This document is a hand-drawn/annotated alternate wiring diagram for a Ford Bronco tailgate power window circuit, credited to "eighty5eddie" and hosted on SuperMotors.net. It shows a modified circuit using two SPDT relays (each with pins 85, 30, 87a, 87, and 86 and an internal coil) to carry motor current instead of routing it entirely through the switches. Power comes from fuse panel position 14 (a 20A circuit breaker, hot in ACC or RUN) via a LB/BK wire to the master tailgate window switch, plus a heavy 10-gauge wire run from the battery to the driver's side taillight area to feed the relays directly. The master tailgate window switch (up/down) requires no ground in this scheme and connects through P/LG and PK/LB wires to the relays and to the key-operated tailgate window switch at connector 517 (BK/W and PK/LB wires). The tailgate latch switch (T/BK wire), which is open when the tailgate is not fully closed, interrupts the circuit to the tailgate power window motor, which is fed by Y/R and R/Y wires from the relays. Both relays are grounded (GND). The diagram lets a reader rewire the tailgate window with relays for improved current handling.
