Suzuki Combination Meter Wiring Diagram - Gauges, Speed Sensor & Fuel Gauge
Wiring diagram of the combination meter showing tachometer, temperature, speedometer and fuel circuits tied to the engine control module.
This document is a scanned wiring diagram for the combination meter (instrument cluster) circuit of a Suzuki vehicle. It shows power feeding from fuse box positions 13 and 15A and 18 (15A) through the lighting switch (OFF/TAIL/HEAD positions, connector E40) and directly to the combination meter connector G11. The combination meter contains the illumination lamp, tachometer, temperature gauge, vehicle speed sensor, and fuel gauge. A legend distinguishes four build variants: [1] 2-Door CAMI, [2] 2-Door IWATA and 4-Door, [3] IWATA, and [4] CAMI, with different connector pin assignments for each. Downstream circuits run through connectors G07 to the illumination controller, G05/E38 to a noise filter and the engine control module (tachometer signal, Br wire), G06/E37 and E54/C10 to the coolant (water) temperature gauge sender (Y/W wire), the vehicle speed sensor output to the ECM (Y wire, pin 22), and G02/L02, L18/M07, and M10 to the fuel level gauge sender (Y/R wire). Wire colors shown include W, B/W, R/Y, R/G, B, Br, Y/W, Y, B/Y, and Y/R, and ground points are numbered 9, 10, and 11. Useful for diagnosing gauge, speed sensor, and cluster illumination faults.

Frequently asked questions
- Which fuses power the combination meter circuit?
- Fuse position 13 (15A), which feeds the lighting switch for illumination, and fuse position 18 (15A), which feeds the combination meter directly on a B/W wire to connector G11 pin 9.
- What gauges and components are inside the combination meter?
- The illumination lamp (ILL), tachometer, temperature gauge, vehicle speed sensor, and fuel gauge.
- What wire color carries the fuel gauge sender signal?
- Y/R (yellow/red), running through connectors G02/L02, L18/M07 and M10 pin 2 to the fuel level gauge sender, with the sender grounded via a B (black) wire at ground point 11.
- Where does the vehicle speed sensor signal go?
- The speed sensor output leaves the combination meter on a Y (yellow) wire and goes to pin 22 of the engine control module.
- What do the numbered legend boxes 1-4 mean on this diagram?
- They indicate build variants: [1] 2-Door CAMI, [2] 2-Door IWATA and 4-Door, [3] IWATA, [4] CAMI. Connector pin numbers differ depending on the variant.
