1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Premium Sound Radio Wiring Diagram - 4-Ch Amp
Mitchell system wiring diagram Fig. 13 for the 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria premium-sound radio with four-channel solid-state amplifier, detailing wire colors to the four door/rear speakers from two 15A fuses.
This document is a Mitchell Repair Information system wiring diagram (Fig. 13) showing the Premium Sound Radio Circuit with Four Channel Amplifier for a 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria. Power is supplied by Fuse 11 (15A, hot in ACC or RUN) via a YEL/BLK wire that also feeds the power antenna system, and by Fuse 8 (15A, hot at all times) via a LT GRN/YEL wire; both fuses are in the fuse panel on the left side of the instrument panel. The diagram traces circuits from the electronic radio (solid state) through connectors C1101 and C1119 into the four-channel amplifier, which is mounted at the front of the trunk on sedans or at the left wheelhouse on station wagons. From the amplifier, connector C1120 distributes speaker outputs using color-coded wires (ORG/LT GRN, LT BLU/WHT, PNK/LT BLU, PNK/LT GRN, DK GRN/ORG, WHT/LT GRN, PNK/WHT) to six speakers: left and right instrument-panel speakers, left and right door speakers, and left and right rear speakers. A reader can learn fuse locations and amperages, connector numbers, complete wire color codes, and amplifier/speaker locations for diagnosing or restoring the factory premium sound system.
This document covers 1987, which may differ from this 1985 Ford LTD Crown Victoria.
