The 1966 Ford Falcon was fully redesigned around a shortened Fairlane platform, with long-hood proportions and a semi-fastback roofline on the two-door club coupe. The convertible, hardtop, and Sprint were gone, leaving coupe, sedan, and wagon bodies, with wagons riding the longer 113 inch Fairlane wheelbase. Engines ranged from the 170 and 200 cubic inch sixes up to the 289 V8.
