The 2001 Ford Falcon was an Australian AU Series II for most of the year, with the Series III revision arriving late in 2001. The 4.0 litre Intech six and 5.0 litre Windsor V8 carried the range, the Windsor now in its final stretch before the BA generation's overhead-cam Boss V8 arrived in 2002. The name had left the American market in 1970.
