The 1970 Ford Falcon came in two distinct forms. The compact Falcon carried into early model year 1970 before production ended, and in January 1970 Ford moved the name onto a stripped version of the mid-size Fairlane/Torino, sold as the 1970 1/2 Falcon. That car offered engines from the 250 cubic inch six up to the 429 Cobra Jet, and when the half-year run finished, the Falcon nameplate left the US market for good.
