- Turn the wiper switch to OFF and check for power at terminals of wires 63 (r), 28 (bk/w) and 58 (w/o) at connector C502. If all three are hot or only one is hot, repair or replace the wiper motor. If 63 and 28 are hot but 58 is not: replace the wiper switch (conventional) or the governor (interval wipers).
- What if the windshield washer doesn't work?
- Check for fluid in the reservoir, check for a blown fuse 11, and check voltage at terminal of wire 950 (w/bk) of the wiper switch. Then verify voltage at wire 951 (gr/bk) with the knob pushed in, check that the washer pump motor ground is good, and check for voltage at the motor; replace the switch or repair/replace the washer pump motor as indicated.
