Dana 44 Axle Shaft Chart 1967-79 Ford F100/F150/F250 Bronco & Jeep J10/J20

This document is a reference chart of Dana 44 front axle shaft specifications for Ford and Jeep trucks, roughly covering model years 1967 through 1979. For each application (e.g., Ford F100/F150/F250 part-time and full-time 4WD, U-100 Bronco, Full Size Bronco, and Jeep J10/J20/J30, Wagoneer, Cherokee, and Cherokee Chief), the table lists the axle shaft part number, inner shaft diameter and spline count, inner shaft length (center of yoke to end), outer shaft diameter and spline count, outer shaft length (center of yoke to end), and the matching U-joint number. Most Ford applications use a 1 5/16" 30-spline inner shaft with a 1 1/4" 19-spline outer shaft, paired with U-joints 5-260x, 5-297x, 5-309x, 5-74x, or 5-86x. Earlier Jeep applications use 1 1/4" 19-spline inner and 1 1/8" 10-spline outer shafts. Some rows reference specific Bill of Material (B.O.M.) numbers such as 60047-15/16, 610067-5, 610047-16, and 610069-9 or 12. A footnote defines HT = Heavy Truck, M = Medium Truck, LT = Light Truck.
