1992-94 Ford Bronco/F-Series Dash Tab Repair Instructions - I.S. 6551 Sheet 1

This document is Sheet 1 of 5 of Ford instruction sheet I.S. 6551, titled "1992-94 Bronco/F-Series Right Hand Instrument Panel Tab Replacement/Installation Instructions," printed by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan, dated 4-94). It provides the first eight steps of a factory procedure for replacing a broken right-hand instrument panel mounting tab. The sheet notes that Steps 1-7 and 16-23 are supported by the 1994 Bronco/F-Series Service Manual, Section 01-12A, and cautions that hands and equipment must be free of grease or oil, which can degrade plastic instrument panel parts. Steps shown include disconnecting the battery ground cable, removing the right and left kick panels, removing the right side windshield garnish molding, removing the screw securing the broken right-hand lower attachment, removing two screws connecting the bottom of the instrument panel to the two braces, removing four cowl top attaching screws, removing the steering column opening cover, and loosening (but not removing) the three bolts securing the left-hand side of the instrument panel to the vehicle, as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1 is a line drawing of the dash structure with a "LOOSEN 3 BOLTS" callout identifying those bolt locations.
