1992-94 Ford Bronco/F-Series Dash Tab Repair Instructions I.S. 6551 - Sheet 4

This is sheet 4 of 5 of an official Ford Motor Company installation instruction sheet (I.S. 6551, dated 4-94, copyright 1994 Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, Michigan) covering the 1992-94 Bronco/F-Series right hand instrument panel tab replacement/installation procedure. This page contains steps 13 and 14 of the procedure. Step 13 instructs the installer to use the repair bracket as a template and drill a 1/4-inch hole through the lower hole of the bracket into the HVAC duct, with a note emphasizing that the bracket must be pressed firmly against the duct before drilling (illustrated in Figure 6, showing a hand drill in use). Step 14 instructs attaching the bracket at the bottom with a truss head rivet (illustrated in Figure 7, showing a rivet gun installing the rivet). This document is useful to owners repairing a broken right-hand instrument panel (dash) mounting tab, a common failure point on these trucks, by riveting a reinforcement bracket to the dash duct.
