1995 Ford Bronco 5.8L California Fuel Pump Wiring Diagram - Page 25-12
Wiring diagram showing the 5.8L California engine-control fuel pump module circuit with color-coded wires and connector callouts.
This is page 25-12 of a Ford factory wiring diagram set, titled "Engine Controls, 5.8L (California)". It shows the fuel pump module circuit for the 5.8L California-emissions engine. Power comes from connector C202 (referenced on page 25-7) on circuit 238 DG/Y (dark green/yellow) through connector C271 to the Inertia Fuel Shutoff switch, which opens on impact; 12V is present when the relay is energized. From the shutoff switch, circuit 787 PK/BK (pink/black) passes through connectors C205F/C205M and C441F/C441M to the Fuel Pump Module. The fuel level sender (a variable resistor connected to a float, reading 145 ohms full and 22.5 ohms empty) connects to the instrument cluster (page 60-1) on circuit 29 Y/W. Ground paths run on circuit 57 BK through splice S400 to ground G100 (see grounds, page 10-3), with circuit 89 O also shown at the module connector. A callout explains the fuel pump supplies fuel under pressure to the fuel rail and injectors and describes the sender's resistance behavior. Useful for diagnosing fuel pump power, inertia switch, fuel gauge sender, and ground faults.

Frequently asked questions
- What wire color feeds the inertia fuel shutoff switch?
- Circuit 238 DG/Y (dark green/yellow) from connector C202 feeds the inertia fuel shutoff switch through connector C271.
- What circuit runs from the inertia switch to the fuel pump module?
- Circuit 787 PK/BK (pink/black), passing through connectors C205F/C205M and C441F/C441M, with 12V present when the switch is closed.
- What are the fuel level sender resistance values?
- The sender reads 145 ohms when the tank is full and 22.5 ohms when empty; it is a variable resistor connected to a float in the fuel tank.
- Where does the fuel pump module ground?
- Through circuit 57 BK (black) via splice S400 to ground G100; see grounds on page 10-3.
- What does the inertia fuel shutoff switch do?
- It opens on impact, cutting power to the fuel pump module.
